Our Services
Consult & Advisory
We are, at heart, consultants in Hospitality technology. Our consultancy draws from our many years of experience as suppliers of the primary hospitality technology systems such: -
• CRM (customer relationship management)
• RM (revenue management)
• BI (business intelligence)
• PMS (property management system)
• Email marketing
• Guest Loyalty
• Payment Solutions
• e-Signature/authorizations.
Additionally, our experience at working with all types of hospitality sector business – from Independent hotels, Groups and Chains, plus Holiday Parks and Entertainment venues
is leveraged when working with a client on their own specific challenges.
We typically start all of our new client engagements with consultation in various areas of their business. This is a general discussion around the client’s growth strategy or pain points. For example - we have worked with clients who don’t understand why their reporting is different from system to system, why their applications don’t talk to one another, or other areas that may confound them.
In many cases, however, there is an immediate and costly situation that needs to be corrected. Our hospitality consultancy is then focused on determining the true issues and sources, which leads to a discovery and scoping exercise - whilst all of the time, seeking those valuable marginal gains!
Once we plan our course of action, then the client is free to correct their own course, or more frequently, engage EdgeWise to deliver the change through our implementation and project management services.
Technology Procurement & Optimisation
Following the initial assessment, we work, using our extensive network of contacts, to identify best-of-breed vendors to produce a short-list of potential suppliers. This procurement exercise can include: -
• developing and distributing materials to vendors for the RFP process
• managing vendor questions and assessing vendor RFP responses
• creating business case validation components for vendor finalists’ selection
• facilitating vendor finalists’ presentation sessions
• coordinating negotiations on agreement terms, pricing, and associated components of the scope of work and deployment schedules with selected vendors
We provide complete project oversight on planning and deployment of the selected technologies and related infrastructure while ensuring timely coordination of the overall project timeline.
Following the solutions deployment, we will work directly with your personnel to optimize all the technologies to ensure their proper use with above property, and on property front and back of house staff.
About marginal gains
Sir Dave Brailsford, the former performance director of British Cycling, believed in and made famous, the concept of "marginal gains," which is the idea that small, consistent improvements can add up to significant achievements over time. His mantra was "the one percent margin for improvement in everything you do".
Brailsford's philosophy was that success is achieved through the cumulative effect of small, consistent actions, rather than making radical changes. He believed that if you could improve every aspect of cycling by just 1%, the benefits would be extraordinary.

The key principles are:
1. Break Down the Process: Identify all the components of the activity or system.
2. Focus on Incremental Improvements: Look for ways to improve each component, even by a small percentage.
3. Compound Effect: Recognize that small changes add up over time.
4. Continuous Improvement: Apply this mindset as an ongoing process rather than a one-time effort.
Brailsford's approach to marginal gains transformed British cycling, leading to a period of great success. From 2007–2017, British cyclists won 178 world championships, 66 Olympic or Paralympic gold medals, and 5 Tour de France victories.
